Race Report: WM Plate Weekend
A Weekend of Highs and Lows at the WM Plate
This past weekend at the WM Plate proved to be a rollercoaster of emotions and a showcase of sheer talent and determination for our team.
Ben Brock Shines in the Rain
In conditions that tested the mettle of the most seasoned drivers, Ben Brock emerged as a star performer. Demonstrating exceptional skill and control in the wet, Ben clinched an impressive P19, earning him the top novice title. His performance in these challenging conditions was nothing short of stunning, marking him as a driver to watch in future races.
Harry Hurst-Grover’s Phenomenal Run
Harry Hurst-Grover was in a league of his own throughout the weekend. Consistently the fastest on the track, he displayed a level of domination that was a thrill for all spectators. His driving was a clear indication of his growing prowess and potential in the sport.
A Bittersweet End for Hurst-Grover However, the weekend did not end as we had hoped for Harry. In a turn of events that can only be described as heart-wrenching, he faced a significant setback. A stuck throttle cable led to a DNS (Did Not Start), abruptly ending what could have been a standout weekend for him. It was a devastating moment, not just for Harry but for all of us who have seen his hard work and dedication.
Looking Ahead
While the weekend had its share of disappointments, the performances of both Ben and Harry have given us much to be proud of and hopeful for. Their resilience, skill, and sportsmanship under pressure are what make them true racers. We are already looking forward to the next race, ready to come back stronger and more determined than ever.
As we close the chapter on this weekend’s event, we extend our gratitude to our team, our supporters, and our sponsors. Your encouragement and belief in our drivers fuel our passion and drive for success.
Onwards and upwards, Team XKART!
As always we want to thank our sponsors and partners for their continued support.
