XKART TKC Round 6 Race Report from Whilton Mill
XKART TKC Round 6 brought the 2025 championship to a close at Whilton Mill with a full team line-up and plenty to play for. It was a weekend packed with hard racing, unpredictable results, and two well-earned titles for the team. With a mix of experience and rookies on the grid, the round capped off a successful season in style.
Championships secured and top fives locked in for XKART at TKC Round 6
The team’s standout results came in the form of two championship wins. Riley Bishop secured the overall title despite suffering a rare mechanical issue during the weekend. His strong points tally from earlier rounds and consistent race pace meant that even a DNF could not stop him from becoming champion. Elijah Hazelwood also signed off with a clean and commanding drive, taking P1 in the championship after another strong showing across the heats and final.
Lewis Sumner came into the weekend with a chance of taking the title and opened with a clean sweep on Saturday. Unfortunately, illness forced him to retire from Sunday’s first superheat, but he returned to fight again and claimed P3 in the final. That effort secured him second place in the overall standings and showed the grit and determination he has carried all season.

Momentum in the midfield
It was not just about the championship frontrunners. Several drivers delivered excellent performances that reflect how much progress they have made throughout the year. Isaac Jameson looked sharp and confident, pushing through the pack and bringing home silverware in one of his most complete weekends yet.
Cooper Campbell-Lees battled back from electrical problems and contact to finish P8 in the final and secure a top-five finish in the overall standings. Zak Jennings was caught in a dramatic airborne incident that ended his final early, but still wrapped up the championship in P5 after a consistent season.

Big improvements and gritty performances
Elijah Hartley faced his share of setbacks but pulled off some smart overtakes through the boot section to end P12 in the championship. Harry Ward showed exactly how far he has come since the start of the year. A strong P14 finish in the final was a clear step forward and a result that matched his upward trend throughout the season.
Lewis Holt had the pace but not the luck. Three damaged Nassau panels and several incidents meant results did not reflect the speed he carried, but his commitment and feedback across the weekend remained high. Zac Cain soldiered on through rib pain, delivering what he could before stepping aside to recover properly ahead of winter training.

Final efforts and full commitment
Archie Doherty started P2 in the Repechage and had a chance at the final, but contact early on dropped him back into the pack. His approach stayed calm and composed, and the experience gained under pressure will serve him well in 2026. In Senior, Daniel Callaghan continued his steady development. He gained five places in the final and showed he is overcoming the early hurdles faced this season.

A strong finish to a big season
XKART TKC Round 6 at Whilton Mill marked the end of a successful campaign. Two championship titles, multiple top-five finishers, and strong improvement from rookies made this round a true team effort. With over 30 drivers entered in Junior Primo this season, to have every XKART driver competing at this level is a huge credit to the work behind the scenes. The focus now shifts to awards night and off-season preparation, but the momentum is already building for 2026.
