X-Kart Secure Wins and Podiums at TKC Round 3

X-Kart headed to Whilton Mill for Round 3 of The Kart Championship, taking on challenging conditions and highly competitive grids across Junior Primo, Junior Rotax and Senior Rotax. The weekend produced race wins, podium finishes and strong championship points as drivers continued to fight at the front throughout both days.

Junior Primo

Jude Puddefoot

Jude Puddefoot delivered a dominant performance throughout the weekend to secure his maiden TKC round victory. After a productive Friday, Jude qualified P3 before taking P2 in Heat 1 and victory in Heat 2 to move firmly into contention heading into Sunday.

Sunday continued strongly with victory in Superheat 1 and P2 in Superheat 2, securing pole position for the Final. From there, Jude controlled the race from the front to secure an impressive lights to flag victory and complete a standout weekend.

Jude explained that confidence remained high throughout the event after strong pace during practice, allowing him to consistently fight at the front across every session.

Junior Rotax

Harry Ward

Harry Ward showed strong pace throughout the weekend despite several setbacks through penalties and contact. A track limits penalty in qualifying left Harry P21 before further nose penalties across the heats limited the results despite competitive speed.

Even with the setbacks, Harry consistently fought forward throughout the weekend and secured P7 in the repechage. Harry said the pace was there to consistently run inside the mix at the front, with plenty of positives to take heading into the next round.

Senior Rotax

Lewis Sumner

Lewis Sumner enjoyed one of his strongest weekends of the season, consistently fighting at the front throughout every session. After qualifying P3, Lewis secured P2 and P3 finishes in the heats before an unfortunate nose penalty in Superheat 1 dropped him from P3 on track to P9.

Despite the setback, Lewis responded strongly with P2 in Superheat 2 before securing another P2 finish in the Final to collect valuable championship points.

Lewis explained that the kart felt the strongest it has all season, with the pace throughout the weekend reflecting the progress being made.

Riley Bishop

Riley Bishop entered the weekend focused on maximising championship points while sitting fourth overall in the standings. After early setup challenges in the hot conditions, Riley and the team found strong pace heading into the race sessions.

Qualifying P7 without a tow left Riley slightly further back than the outright pace deserved, but consistent progress followed throughout the weekend with P5 in Heat 2 and top 3 finishes in both superheats. Riley remained inside the lead fight throughout the Final before late engine issues limited the closing stages, resulting in P4 at the flag and another strong points haul.

Cassidy Southall

After starting both superheats from P30, Cassidy gained positions in each race before making further progress in the Final to finish P21.
